This year (99) at anime expo, I was thinging as to how my collection was rather lacking, in a matter of terms. Over half of my 96 tape/DVD collection is made up of Ranma Nibunnoichi and Tenchi Muyo! These (and Macross) are my favorite series. Anyhow, I found myself at the CMP booth (looking for the Kia Asamiya Doujinshi Sketch book, which they ended up not having) and decided to buy the Lodoss DVD box (as I am quite tired of tape degredation). Of course, I hadn't seen the whole series yet, so I picked it up as more of a novelty than anything else. However, once I arrived home on Sunday following the convention, I ploped myself down and watched both DVDs. What I found was quite a bit more than I expected. The one quib I have with the way it plays out, is that it tells you both sides of the story, and though I did like it and found it rather unique, I feel it revealed too much of boths sides (no suspense) but it was a very good series, and I hope to share that with you.
