Because
of so many people, who wished for this series to be presented here,
and because it is one of my favorites, I finally got convinced, to
present it on my page. I
try to mention as many aspects as possible, but because of the vast
extent of the series, this will be very difficult. But I gonna do my
best!
I’ll
leave out some aspects
,like the meaning of the cat breeds (concerning their code names)
and the flowers, but there are enough Weiß Kreuz sites in the
Internet, where you can get information about that.
I
also won’t enter into the band Weiß Kreuz…this would be too
specific…!

Well,
what is Weiß Kreuz about ? To cut a long story short, Weiß Kreuz is
about a group of 4 young men, who work in a flower shop during the
day.
But
appearances are deceptive…In truth they’re a group of assassins,
who, by order, hunt down people who escape the laws.
They
are something like silent judges…They get their orders from Persia,
their silent employer.
Failing
means their death…

The
series is partly based on the pop-band Weiß Kreuz.
The
seiyuus of the four guys, are the members of the band. In addition to
that, the band wrote the complete music for Weiß Kreuz.
1998
the series was released in Japanese TV
and consists of 24 episodes, the last one takes about twice the time
of a normal episode, therefore it is, in principle, a double-episode (that
explains the statements concerning the length, which are partly wrong).
Additional
there exists an OVA with 2 parts and lots of music clips, with well
known songs from Weiß Kreuz (similar to the Cathexis music clips from
Zetsuai).Beside
2 official mangas, there are also innumerable doujinshis, especially
“Ja!Weiß”.

In
addition 2 artbooks were published (very recommendable ^_-), one
episode guide and “Soul Driver”, an absolute wonderful artbook
made by Tsuchiya. Likewise innumerable CD’s, soundtracks and
dramas exist, just as an unending amount of merchandise .Soon
the 2.Weiß Kreuz season “Glühen” will start in Japan, which
means, that Weiß Kreuz is still popular and very well-known.
Finally,
the cutie-effect is very high in this series *drools* , therefore I
can enjoin it on every bishounen-fan…especially because there are
a lot of shonen-ai/yaoi-doujinshis of Weiß Kreuz! |
