Before
I start, I wanna say that -similar to Angel Sanctuary-I’m not able
to present all of the characters. There are just too many! Therefore
I gonna confine myself to the most important ones.
I
ask for your understanding, you can find a detailed description of
the Characters on sites about X or Clamp.

Kamui Shirou |
|
The
main character, and in a certain way the bearer of everything. His
name means :”to present the power of god” but also “to hunt
the power of god”.
He
has the possibility to decide, which group he wants to join, his
decision causes the denouement of the fight. Kamui possesses a great
power, he receives one of the 2 holy swords and comes back to Tokyo
after his mother died. With his arrival, the fight begins and the
ones who are affected, gather in Tokyo.
Kamui
is a stubborn, mulish boy. The apocalypse doesn’t matter to him,
he is just interested in his school day friends: Kotori and Fuuma... |

A
cheerful, fragile girl, who has deep feelings for Kamui. Her name
means “little bird” .Kotori is helpful and friendly, but because
of the appearance of Kamui she gets affected. She has the talent of
being a dream-gazer, which means she is able to see the future in
her dreams. Where as –in the anime- she dies because of the 2.
holy sword, she is killed –in the manga- by her brother..

The
twinstar of Kamui. He takes the
position of the opposition, as soon as Kamui has decided. Basically
he is a good-natured, albeit a little bit cold young man, who cares
very much for Kamui.When
Kamui decided himself, the personality of Fuuma changed completely
and he becomes an Dragon of Earth.
In
this condition he kills his sister Kotori and therefore he becomes
the enemy of Kamui…

Hinoto |
|
A
Dream Gazer. She pulls the strings, and has foreseen the end of the
world, as well as the end of Kamui, in her dreams. She gathers the
Dragon of Heaven and tries to win Kamui over. The Dragon of
Heaven fight for the continuity of the world like it is. Hinoto-hime
bears a hard fate, she can neither speak ,nor see, hear or move. She
lives in the Parliament for looking into the future of the
politicians…

Kanoe |
|
The
younger sister of Hinoto. She is not able to foresee the future,
like Hinoto, but she can see the same dreams like her sister. She
gathers the Dragons of Earth, who want a reform of the world
and who want to erase the humans for the benefit of a regeneration
of the nature. Kanoe finds the twinstar of Kamui and she knows the
meaning of the dreams of her sister…

Dragons of Heaven |
|
|
There
are 6 Dragons of Heaven, who fight next to Kamui. They consist of
Arashi Kishu, Sorata Arisugawa, Suberu Sumeragi (fans of Tokyo Babylon
know him ^^;), Yuzuhira Nekoi, Karen Kasumi and Seiichiro Aoki. Every
one of them has special abilities and they are called –together with
Kamui- the 7 Dragons of Heaven…

Dragons of Earth |
|
Like
the Dragons of Heaven, there are 6 Erddrachen: Satsuki Yatoiji,
Seishiro Sakurazuka, Kusanagi Shiyuu, Yuto Kigai, Nataku and Kakyo
Kuduki. After
Fuuma joins them, they are completed. The tricky aspect in the
affair is, that there are a lot of relationships between the Dragons
of Earth and Heaven ( just have a look at Subaru and Seishiro...),
so that you can assume, that there gonna be a lot of sub-plots.
