In December of 1998, I had created this Ring in a beta testing phase because I felt all the "anyone-may-enter" webrings out there did not help to maintain an acceptable level of quality in their respective members' sites. You probably have run across this problem while websurfing along a webring which took you to a nonexistant page or a very poorly done one.

After wandering the corners of cyberspace and viewing hundreds of less and stellar sites, I decided to create a network where a quality prerequisite does exist. Hence, Quintessential Washu Ring. The fundamental purpose of this Ring is therefore to ensure a visitor that a site with the QWRing logo on it is at an acceptable quality level; hopefully having stricter rules will allow more pleasureable viewing.

Being a Tenchi Muyo and Washu fan, this Ring exists to serve the Tenchi Muyo and Washu communities under the following conditions:

• A member site must have substantial and high-quality Washu material on her own page (e.g. shrine), or
• A member site must have competitive Tenchi Muyo material that contains some material on Washu.

QWashu Ring is very concerned with quality maintenance (e.g. three images do not constitute a "gallery," and don't misspell every other word, no hentai/ecchi), and I suggest reviewing website design tips at the ©/N/© page which I wrote for general information. Give and take, hmmmm. I also created QWRing to be a more interactive ring, with Members taking part in contests and voting and the like, along with a Vault archive.

The purpose of this ring, therefore, is NOT merely to give sites more traffic, but to create a community of enjoyable Washu - TM sites. In fact, if your site is good-quality, chances are you already have plenty of traffic.

But due to a local circumstance, I won't have computer access for some time, so I have turned QWRing over for the time being to the venerable Aubrey Chen of Love, War, and Tenchi Muyo!; as the new Ringleader, Aubrey may run the Ring freely under the fundamental quality prerequisites of QWRing.
