Our Vision

Anime ... the neotype animation that struck an entire generation with awe. Ink ... the foundation medium upon which it all gets started.

AnimeInk is an organzation built on the preservation and continued success of Japanese animation and manga here in the US and Canada. Our sole purpose of existing is to educate others who are less informed on the value of Japanese animation as not cartoons, but as an new generation of animation, one that incorporates realistic and fluid animation with mature and adult themes. For those who haven't yet expirenced anime, you have yet to see true animation in it's well deserved glory. Many clubs have been formed to assoicate fans who enjoy anime and manga together as a unit. We don't seek the amount of members, but instead we seek those who are willing and able to help in the education and further success of Japanese anime. Our goals are simple, one, make the uninformed informed, two, to gain more access to Japanese animation through any and all sources possible, three, to unite all those struggling anime clubs out there under one flame, and finally, to keep those flames buring high for the success Japanese animation for generations to come.

In order to achieve our goals, AnimeInk and it's members continue to find new innovative ways to spread the word about Japanese animation. Now, Japanese anime can, without AnimeInk, go on strong, but AnimeInk and the clubs within are here to give it an extra boost and a firm support.

AnimeInk is into what is known to anime fans as "fansubbing" which is the distribution of Japanese anime that is not presently released nor licenced here in North America. Fansubbing brings over some of Japan's most prized and most awesome works of animation to the fans here ... some of with would quite possibly never be released and viewed here by American audiances. Using a select group of fansubbers, AnimeInk has compiled a library of fansubs for it's members to choose from and to enjoy what they couldn't without fansubbing. Our fansubbing service is free (with the exception of the price of the VHS tape and shipping and handling) and simple. We hope to find more fansubbing groups so our library will increase in the number of available titles to choose from.

Getting more of what we want is something that's on all our minds, otaku or not. Sometimes fansubs aren't enough. We seek new ways to get those lost anime here to North America for the all the otakus out there. Though some of our ideas may be a bit ambitious and cheesy, but hey, we're trying! Currently we're working on an idea to get more anime to the cable networks such as HBO and Showtime, where they will shown in their entirety, uncut and uncensored. It's only an idea, but it does take a dream to build a village ... why not a dream to get more anime?

Now, education brings to mind school ... blah, nah, that's not how we educate! AnimeInk educates by holding weekly/montly anime showings (local branches) and inviting the curious to attend. It's a great expirence for both members and nonmembers. Eh, we rarely show hentai anime but when we do, we DON'T allow those under 18 to attend. Sorry kids! In the manga department we get translations for our members who just can't grasp those kana and kanji but just love the outstanding art inside those little books. We educate by having fun, and isn't that what we've always wanted?

AnimeInk, as an online entity, wishes to become a socity to unite all the fans together so they can share their views, ideas, have discussions on anime, buy, trade, etc. with one another. Since this online edition of AnimeInk JAMS is a more broadbased environment, we try to keep it as professional as possible while still incorporating most of the fun that is present in the local AnimeInks. In all veiws, AnimeInk is here to bring together all walks of fans, from beginners to otaku.
