Tougo is something of a juvenile deliquent. [kind of like Yuusuke from Yuu Yuu Hakusho only cute and not dead by the first episode ^_~] At school he works hard to foster a rebel image. And I have to say that it works for him. Drool! [just add 10 years to his age and that works for me ^_~] In the first issue of the manga he is always late for class, talking on his cel phone during class and just plain running out of class. His poor teacher just can't seem to deal with him. Tougo dresses sloppily, has peircings, and dies his hair. 

There is one really funny part in the manga where his teacher is berating him about his appearance. She has a little diagram of him to point out all his faults. First she starts with his hair and Tougo asks her 'Don't you like my hair?' and 'Would you like to touch it?' [uh YES!] What a smart a*s! You have to love it! When she starts complaining about his clothes, Tougo says something like 'since you want my hair back to normal, does that mean you want the other parts of me back to normal?'  ... and he starts to remove his clothing! [yes yes yes...Leigh is drooling over her manga now...] But then the teacher starts to cry and he stops because he was just trying to tease her and didn't want to make her cry. [no no no...Leigh is sobbing now...cheated!]

Despite the ruffian appearance and attitude, Tougo is a really sweet guy deep down. He will do all that he can for his friends. Part of his attitude is due to the fact that his father neglected him as a child. [and still does] 

And, most importantly [to me ^_^], he rides a motorcycle!! I have a weakness for anime guys with bikes.
