Another gorgeous, oversized cel. @.@ The 'background' is actually just a relatively
small piece which includes only the sky; the ground is actually a second piece
taped on, which acts as a foreground element, and makes it a book cel. Not
sure why they went for that tactic, instead of simply making the background in one
piece, but it does give it a nice three dimensional effect.
All in all, another incredible looking cel, thanks to Nick. |

HEE! A gorgeous setup with the bird family, and their new baby. Isn't it
silly and
cute? The loving parents look so proud and happy.
And all our heroes are there, though very small -- right down to the pink elephant. A huge book cel, and a massive package -- with lots of layers, two foreground elements, and a slew of sketches. This thing is awesome. |

I just thought this was a really awesome looking shot. Very keen...a raptor guarding
her nest. I love the positioning of the wings, and the very natural mountain environment. Came with the usual sketches, and also a rough of the male returning to the nest. (The female and male are conveniently labeled with the Venus & Mars symbols ^^)] |

....Wow. It's hard to figure out what to say about this one. ^^ It's...wonderful. I had
to buy it. It's a giant dragon/dinosaur thing...in winged boots? I just don't get it,
but it's marvelous-silly. And it seems to be having a collision with a bird=shaped
aircraft. It's just so non-sequitur. I love this piece of insanity. The action-lines
are on a separate layer that can be removed to simply appreciate the critter, but
it loses the 'drama' that way. Came with a photocopy of an early production sketch which depicts a very different set-up for the scene, with the beast facing forward with a silly/squishy expression. ^^ It's fun, but I much prefer the direction they went with it in the end. :D (The creature is A1End, and the lines are B1.) |

Heee! Okay, so I'm not normally a fan of bugs.. But....bugs THIS happy?
Who could possibly resist? I know I can't! Beyond that, the one insect of which I am very fond is the Praying Mantis -- and the bug on the right is most certainly Mantis-like. (Psycho Mantis?) They were just way too cute. I love them. I wish I had a giant, happy Praying Mantis of my very own. |

HEEEE! KITTIES!! Yes, Mala has fallen for kitties. (Don't worry, I'll always be
a dog-person.) I love their eyes. So...cute... This cel is rather oversized, with lots of extra blank space at the top and the right, but I like to cram things into the standard size where I can. Whatever. Kitties. |

My motivation for picking up this cel is pretty simple: pretty. And big.
I like pretty things, and I appreciate when pretty things are big. Or when big things are pretty. That's one shiny reptile, I must say. Quite glossy. I really like how its 'hand' is drawn.. Very nice positioning, and it just looks good. ^^; The critter's got a neat face, as well. I like the beak-like mouth, and the eyes are great. And, boy...it sure is shiny. |

Maybe I'd just watched The Two Towers too often, but this cel just made me
think of Ents.. Ever since I was a kid, my family's had this big ol'...candleholder thing.. To call it a candle-holder doesn't do it justice.. It's about 8" tall, and probably about 8" in diameter, all carved from wood (with a lot of lacquer over it) with marble eyes...so when you put a candle in, the eyes seem to glow. ...Anyway, it's modeled after Treebeard. That's really the only point of this story. Not much of a point, is it? It's a neato cel of a neato tree. The end. |

Agh! Return of the bigass tree!
Er... Wow. I had a hard enough time coming up with something to say about the tree the first time around. I mean, it's a cool tree and all. I like trees. I just haven't got a great deal to say about this one. Except that this cel came as an extra with another I got. To think I went out of my way to get the first tree... |
