I love Jack. I love cels of Jack. And I love Jack in the opening credits.
He is the cutest thing on two legs.
Jack has knives. Knives, people! And he's Jack! YES!

...Shit. Did I just say Jack was cute? Let me say it again. JACK IS CUTE.
I love Jack.
Okay, so I'm ranting. But I love Jack. I never, ever thought I'd see Op
cels of Jack. I've had a hard enough time seeing any cels of Jack. This
makes me happy beyond belief.

Okay, so I've ranted. I could go on, but I doubt anyone wants me to.
So, instead, story time: I was browsing YJ, when I came across all these
lots of Op cels; each auction included two cels. There were many sets
of Op cels, but also some regular series cels. The auction thumbnails
were only of one cel each, so I wasn't really expecting Jack cels when
I opened the auctions -- but there they were. I can't describe how
excited I was when I saw them, but I'm sure most cel collectors out there
are familiar with the heart-pounding, head-buzzing sensations of finding
major wishlist cels.
The lots all had buy-out prices -- which were equal to the first bid.
Too good to be true, almost. I won't go into too much detail, but I wasn't
really supposed to use my usual dep at that point, due to an order for
which the payment was currently in-transit, and I was supposed to wait 'til
that
transaction was finished; I desperately tried a different dep, but...well,
it turned out to be an utter flop. I won't point fingers, but I can't imagine
myself ever trying them again. The auction I wanted most out of
everything (with a beautiful Jack from the first op, and a wonderful
group shot from the second op) was bought out.
In the end, I went crawling
back to Sato, and he came through for me -- as always. I love Sato.
I managed to get just about everything else I was set on.

More Jack. Because I love Jack.
I was on the verge of tears when I thought I wouldn't be able to get these
cels; Jack's opening credits appearances are pretty limited. Hell, his
appearances are limited throughout the whole show. I was really at
the end of my rope about these cels. Sato is my hero. The people
who had to live with me at the time these cels came up probably appreciate
him, too. 'Cause it wasn't pretty.
Naturally, it came at one of those times Sato did that cute little thing
he does, when he gets the email and takes care of the bidding, but doesn't
email back right away. Oh, I almost fell over and died in the time between
seeing that the auctions were over, and checking on Rinkya to see that
Sato was the high bidder. *snrk* I love Sato.
And I love JACK. Damn, he's the cutest thing in the universe. Jack!

Cute shot of Ayame and Rouge, as they run over to Fokker and Ryoma from the
first opening sequence. I was incredibly lucky to snag all
of these Op cels off Yahoo Japan; even if the auction I wanted
most ended before I was able to get to it, I still got most of
the auctions.

Hee! This one's too cute -- I love Ayame's expression here; she's just
really adorable. This one comes shortly after the above op cel. While
Fokker wouldn't mind the gals running toward him, he's not too pleased
about Apollus following behind. I love Apollus; he's such a silly
fellow.
In the opening, the focus is zoomed onto Apollus, and so the girls are
hazy and out of focus; it's nice to actually see how they appear in
this scene, thanks to the cels.

A nice little Op cel of Wangtang showing off his martial arts skills.
Comes from the first opening credits, during the scene when the less-featured
main characters all get a few seconds to pose, or do their individual thang.
I'm not a huge Wangtang fan...but the Op cels were sold in pairs, so
here it is.

Silly, cute shot of Wangtang from the first opening. After striking a
pose, Wangtang gets a little shock when the 'ground' below him lifts
up -- as it turns out, he was apparently standing on a large boulder, which
is lifted and tossed by Gunrock. (Which then segues into Garuda,
and then..Jack! Yes, everything revolves around Jack!)

Very cute bit from the last part of the second Op. All the various
Powerstone heroes go flying through the sky, with glowy, multi-coloured
auras. Like...really strange comets.

Alas, the cel from this sequence which shows all of the group was among
those that sold out before I got at them. Curses.

Shortly after the above cel, Fokker and Ayame exchange glances,
and with an unspoken agreement, everyone shoots forward even
faster. Let us not ignore the fact that they were already going so fast
that, to a stationary observer, they appeared as nothing more than rocketing
light-thingies. Yes, light-thingies.
FWISH! They fly at the speed of light-thingies!
