Here's one of Gratches, looking serious, and a bit displeased.
He is, of course, the show's requisite bishounen. Hittel and Gulden probably fit into the category as well, but Gratches actually gets mistaken for a girl from a short distance, so I think he wins. ;) He's a pretty cool guy. This cel comes in during episode 37, as the gang discuss the new threat they've incountered. |

How about another Gratches? I couldn't resist this one, mainly
because Anime-Cel used a caption like: "I'm Crazy Jewel Head! I'm
crazy, and I've got a jewel on my head! Gimme some candy!"
Knowing how serious and mature Gratches is, this was just especially hilarious. ^_^ I loved it, and couldn't help but buy it when I was making some other purchases. From episode 15; Gratches reacts to the fire-covered Adeu. |

More of Gratches, so that the ladies in the audience may swoon and drool.
Such a pretty shade of blue, his hair is, with lovely blue eyes to match.
Why, he even knows how to accessorize, with a blue gem on his headband
to match his eyes. Truly, he is the ladies man of Ryuu Knight. Gratches steels himself to deal with his old enemy, Denada; also from episode 15. |

Adorable! It's Gratches on his invisible Gallop! Oh, the wacky fun of missing layers... If one didn't know about the Gallops, it would be quite an odd-looking shot. Regardless, Gratches is looking especially adorable here, as he gets ready to follow Sarutobi up, in episode 31. |

One very frowny Gratches. ^_^;; He really does look unhappy quite often.
He's another fellow that really needs to learn how to relax every once in
a while. Perhaps a nice cruise trip for two (with Canary, of course) through
the islands (Canary Islands?)...sipping a cold beverage and staring out at the ocean..
Couldn't we all use that? Gratches faces off against a somewhat festive-looking Doom in episode 48. |

Gratches, with that oddball weapon of his. It replaces his axe, and it's kind
of similar...yet not. I don't know what to say about it, beyond that it's fancy
and shiny, what with its Spirit Stone and all. I've finally got enough cels of Gratches to give him his own page! From episode 48 (quite a few of my Gratches cels are from this episode, ne?) Gratches sends Adeu to help the others while he finishes the battle against the Doom. |

One of my favourite cels of Gratches, for some reason. I really like the movement,
and his face is very nicely drawn. I didn't really think much of it 'til my roommate
commented on what a lovely cel it was. I looked at it again, and realized how
correct she was. I'm especially fond of his expression and hair. Here Gratches reaches for Shinebraum's card as he heads toward the battle. Gratches is an efficient fellow -- why stop and summon when you can summon on the go? From episode 48. |
