The female ninja is Iori, Sarutobi's "childhood friend." She's just informed him that the other ninja have been keeping track of him while he's been gone; Sarutobi is a bit taken aback. ^^ Episode 31.
And in the back, there's Gratches! Even with eyes closed, he's looking at his bishounen finest. I really love the art in this cel.
And yeah, I got it all for the Sarutobi. ;)
The layers for this cel are evidently mismatching; this setup is used for two shots; in the first, Paffy enters the scene, and Adeu doesn't get up front until the second. From episode 23, as the group (plus Alex) talk to a ship captain.
Paffy, Hagu Hagu, Izumi, Gratches (his legs anyway..) Adeu, Gesshin, Sarutobi, Hittel, and Katze make up the full Ryuu Knight troupe. They're all pretty nicely drawn as well, for being so small.
I just really like the way the whole group is included, even if Gratches gets a bit..cut off.
From episode 37, the group gather as Izumi explains the history of the Mystic Shield protecting Earthia.
Things go from bad to worse in episode 47, but Adeu's not about to go down without a fight!
I really like Izumi. I didn't, at first, but he quickly grew on me.
Katze also took me a little while. She's really spunky, and a lot of fun. I've grown to like her quite a bit, the crazy girl. She could really stand to get a better shirt, though.
Here the group check out the casino in the Oasis town, in episode 21.
It's such a lovely shot, with the entire Ryuu gang.. Full-body shots, yet not so far out that there's no detail.
Obviously, it's not as detailed as a single-character shot, but the art is still quite nice for as many characters are spaced into the shot.
In all respects, it would be such a wonderful cel... But somebody cut it. -.-
Originally two cels, slightly spaced so that a pan shot could be achieved without an oversized cel, both cels were cut at the edges to make it standard sized, actually cutting into the painted area and losing edges of Hittel and Gratches..
I love it anyway, and don't regret the purchase, but I mourn the cutting of the poor cel..
From episode 37; the gang get ready to face off against a trio of Jaryuuzoku.
Just be glad you can't actually see her eyes, now that the glasses are pushed up.. ^_^;;
Cute shot of Sarutobi, and Gratches and Adeu are there, as well.
A nice little group shot, but best for its lead-up to the next cel...

Katze's reaction is so cute, and was the first thing to catch my eye. I love silly shots and wild takes, and this is one of my favourites.
I really love Sarutobi's pose, as well. Such nice movement apparent in the shot, and you can see his cute little ninja-foots. ^-^
Less eye-catching, Adeu and Gratches still have cute little surprised expressions, as well.
All in all, one of my favourite Ryuu Knight cels. ^-^ It also hails from episode 47.
Harder to tell with Sarutobi, what with not being able to see if he's smiling or not. Still, I'd wager he's pretty pleased at the moment.
From the end of episode 27, the group head over to see Adeu. Yay for happy endings!
Great shot of the group all chibied up from one of the flashback-specials (I don't remember which one, off hand.) I think it was listed as an eyecatch, though it clearly isn't. ^^; Not that I care. I just want them all cute and chibi.. And take a gander at Sarutobi's giant head!
Poor Gratches is just a patch of blue hair and a tomahawk..
