Cute little group shot; Paffy looks awfully cute, and the way she's holding Hagu Hagu,
it looks like she's presenting him to the audience. Izumi's also especially
adorable in this one; I love the pose and expression. ^_^ Paffy almost looks angry from the thumbnail, for some reason; that's actually a large part of why I wanted it. However, in reality, she's got a little smile. This comes in at the end of episode 13 as Lumina thanks Izumi (hence his embarrassment.) |
![]() | The kind of shot of Gesshin I like -- happy and cute! I'll long regret missing out on one particularly cute cel of him, simply due to my own forgetfulness. However, I can always get cels like this to make up for it. ^_^ |

Nifty-nifty shot of Sarutobi and Gratches facing off with the Jaryuuzoku warrior
from episode 32.
Based on size alone, they really look outclassed, eh? Gratches wastes no time in pulling out his card and summoning Shinebraum to even the odds a bit. I really do like this one. |

Oh, goodness me. ^_^;; This one came as a service cel with a somewhat pricey batch I
got off YJ. I quite literally cracked up the moment I saw it. ^_^;; Somehow, I just
knew my roommate would appreciate this one.. *kaff* His reaction was similar to
mine own. It's actually from episode 10, as Sarutobi helps the girls out from the wreckage of a cave-in, but...still.. It's hard to say much more about this one. . . |

Freaky-odd shot of Gesshin, eh? O.o;; Another one of those split-screen shots I like so much. Unfortunately, these are actually mis-matched, but were simply left to stick together. The Sarutobi layer comes from episode 45, just after Sarutobi reboards the ship and runs into Paffy. The Gesshin piece is from episode 47, during his fight against Rigel inside the ship. |

From Ep 13, Lumina pleads with Izumi; missing the Adeu layer, which would be covering
part of Lumina and the villager. He looks a little upset by the situation,
really. ^_^;; Lumina's village is plagued by a bunch of nifty skeleton men in nifty helmets, lead by an equally nifty skeleton with a scythe. Why don't these people appreciate the good things about their situation, really? |

And from the same scene, with Adeu joined in to upstage the rest of the group.
Lumina's such a cutie-pie, isn't she? For some reason, though, when I see her, I can't help but think "Sound of Music." Go figure. |

You know what I love most about this cel?
Not just that it's Sarutobi, or that it's a neat action cel. Nor even that it's a cel of one of those Amazon ladies that isn't from that one sequence I already have several from.. No...I love that it's Sarutobi beating up a girl. |

I suppose I should qualify the above statement, lest it sound like I condone
woman-beating, or something.. ^^; I just...I dunno. I've noticed in many, many series that the heroines get to fight female baddies, and the heroes fight male baddies.. They seem to go out of their way to pit females against females, males against males.. So I kind of like the equality of just going ahead and having the guys beat up some female villains. Girls can put up a good fight too! None of this, "I'm sorry, you're just a girl, so I can't fight you. But our female friend over here can take you on, how about that?" |
