(NFS)	Gourry's not my absolute favourite Slayers character, but I still just adore him. He especially reminds me of my mother's old dog--sweet, caring, loving, and quite lacking in brains. Not the sort of guy you want to have help you on your homework, but still a great guy to have around. As much as I normally don't like the colour yellow, I found myself especially fond of the bright tones present in this cel. I like how it consists almost entirely of different shades of yellow. That, and Gourry just looks so cute.
(TFO)	I love Phibby, but this cel just makes me sad. I got this one off YJ shortly before I got another, even better YJ Phibby cel. The other one was just perfect. My deputy service agreed to bid for me, and won the cel...but when the time came for my total, he told me that it'd somehow been lost. So I never got that cel. I just hope nothing really terrible happened to it. Even so, I'm glad I've at least got a cel of Phibby. I'd still like another, but prices on Slayers cels have gone up enough that I don't really see it happening.
(NFS)	Wai, wai, wai! It's Phil, the dashing and handsome Prince! Ok, so maybe he's not dashing or handsome... But he's still a Prince! And he's also just incredibly cool. I love his violent pacifism, and his general looniness. Here Phil is riding triumphantly back into town, as rumours of his death had been greatly exaggerated.
(FO)	Well, I used to have one of Xel looking pained, so I wanted one of him with his usual cheerful expression. This one's a little odd, but he's so happy! That, and I actually managed to get it, which is always a plus. There's just too much competition out there for Xel cels, I had to give up on getting any more. Unless, of course, I could manage to find one of him in any of his costumes. (Brass rackets, Fishy, Chef apron, drag, so on...) I haven't directly compared the shots, but I think he's in middle of telling the gang about the creepy doll mansion.
(FO)	A cel of Almayce. I got this one because I'm quickly attracted to things with bright, pretty colours. I really like the contrast of his red eye against the blue and purple. Too bad you can't see more of his face...but then, he's not all that pretty, anyway. Once I actually got around to watching Try, I was pretty glad to have picked this up. Almayce was a pretty awesome guy.
(NFS)	It took a while for Sylphiel to really grow on me, but this episode was just so powerful. My absolute favourite Slayers ep. As such, it's truly pathetic that when I first saw this cel, I didn't recognize the scene, and almost passed it up. I blame it on the few years since I'd last watched through Next. Even so, no excuse. It was a couple days after I saw this cel that I was glancing through one of the Slayers filmbooks, and saw this exact scene reproduced in a screencap. I yelped outloud, got myself back to the site, and ordered it promptly. sniffle "O...tou..."
(TFO)	Awww...It's Gourry! This is him in his goony jellyfish costume! Even if you can't actually see the costume to appreciate it, I love the expression. He looks so confident, so self-assured... So unaware that he's a complete dimwit. He's just stepped up to the challenge, positive that he can't lose. Naturally, he was wrong.
(TFO)	What's this? The main character! gasp! I'm so terrible about neglecting main characters. Nice to finally have a really good shot of Lina. Confession: I only got it because it came in a set. Bad me. Even so, I really do like this shot. Great smug expression. Very Lina.
(NFS)	I don't actually recall this one being a recent purchase, but I stumbled across it in a cel book and realized it wasn't on the site. I'm not quite sure how that happened. Regardless, it's a lovely shot of Sylphiel and Zangulus as they run through Phibrizzo's lair toward the end of Next. It was like the writers thought they hadn't given us enough odd little twists. Suddenly Lina trades Zel and Amelia in for these two clowns?* I confess, just a few episodes earlier and I'd have never seen it coming. *Oh, I kid. I love those crazy kids.
(NFS)	A lovely bank shot of Gourry attacking. I'd been considering this purchase for a while, and finally caved during AnimeGame's Christmas sale. There's a bit of line fade, but it's really not bad for the series. I love the art in this scene. Gourry's eyes and hair look beautiful in this shot.
(TFO)	It's Rezo! He's big, he's red, and he's kind of a dick. He's about as big a jerk as Xel, but not as charming about it. He's got Zel's stupid hair, but not the redeeming character. Basically, he's just one of those characters that I love to hate. Hell, even his clone was a douche. All the same, I really wanted this cel of him anyway. I'm still not quite sure why, myself. But he's important and so here he is.
(On Hold)	You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream! Except when Xel wants you to scream for ice cream, he probably wants those screams bloodcurdling, thankyouverymuch. I just loved his little ":3" expression in this scene. Rewatching the series, it just amuses me when Xel has these seemingly innocent moments, when you almost forget that you already know he's an evil jerk. Still -- a distinctly likable evil jerk.
