Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have one cel of the main character
of the show.
I seem to do that a lot, overlooking the stars
of the shows. I guess I'm usually a bigger fan of the other characters. Villains,
especially.
I'm not a big fan of Tenchi himself -- a bit too...dopey. However,
he is a really nice guy, so I can't dislike him.
The kid's just a bit
indecisive.

Kagato! He's my favourite character from Tenchi. I just love villains, so
it was pretty easy to predict that I'd love Kagato. He's just so darned evil!
He's got a pretty straightforward plan, simple enough...and he doesn't stick around
for all that long, but he still manages to ooze personality and downright coolness.
He's also got a great character design, and he can even play the pipe organ! What's
not to love?
He looks like such a happy little egomaniac, here.

Looking a little less cheerful. I guess that'll happen when you're stabbed in the
back (literally.)
Nifty effect-lighting, and I love the expression; his eyes look
great, and you can even see his cute li'l fangs! ...And almost his tonsils.

Kagato in the snow. Such a pretty scene. I really like all the snow falling -- which,
since I'm an idiot who scanned it against a white background, you can't really make
out.
I'm running out of rambling commentary about how much I like Kagato, so I
guess I'll move on to the next cel.

Before Tenchi OAV prices skyrocketed
to ridiculous levels, I was hoping to collect a lot of cels of Kagato. Sadly, it seems
cels of him cost more than really makes sense to me, so this was my last cel of him for
quite a while.

Yosho! One of the coolest anime grandpas, he is.
I'm especially fond of his "Gleaming
Eyeglasses" trick. I just love it when characters do that. OAV-wise, at least,
it's revealed that he probably doesn't need the glasses at all, except perhaps for the
sake of appearance. As such, I'm personally convinced that he keeps the glasses
specifically for the "Gleaming Eyeglasses" trick. Seriously.

Not from the Tenchi series outright, but I'll throw it in for lack of a better
place. From the 3rd Pretty Sammy OAV, if I remember correctly. He's the villain:
evil, powerful, purple hair. Yeah, I was bound to like him. Even if he's not
really human. (I say that as if I've never liked a non-human character, before...)
Too bad his eyes aren't open...I really like the layout of
this shot. The smirk's killer, though.

Here 'e is again. Such bright, purple hair. Great colours on this one.
I'm a sucker for colours, I tell you. Just sit and stare. He's looking a bit
peeved, wouldn't you say? Creepy eye! Oh, I'm pretty sure his name was Hiroshi --
but not positive, because I haven't actually checked. I just remember from that
wacky song...

Whoo! An absolutely fabulous shot of Kagato, and exactly what I've been
looking for. With OAV prices climbing as they had been, I figured I'd have
to give up on collecting all the Kagato cels I could find; it seems like
even low-quality shots have been getting rather pricey, so I was
particularly delighted to get this beauty.
I love the expression, and the
shot's great; a little closer than I usually go for, but it just shows off
his eyes and wonderful glasses.

I've been wanting a cel of Ayeka's would-be fiance for a long time.
He was just so hilariously awful, so incredibly foppish, so wonderfully pink.
While this isn't exactly what I had in mind, it was both amusing and cheap.
It's also Seiryo in truest
form, floating around in the lake.
He's so great.
