Shredder! Yes, I had a childhood crush on him, too. What can I say but
that I love masked villains? Oddball cel. I really liked how Shredder's animated in this one. He looks so cute and cuddly. Well, as cuddly as one could be when one is covered in sharp, metal spikes. I really must get more. |

There's a bit of story behind this one.. I managed
to lose two dream cels (and no, I do not
bandy that term about lightly, here,) after weeks of convincing
myself that I had to have
them, and would have them. Losing the cels sent me into a
depression the likes of which
no silly material objects really should..but I found myself
wondering why I even bothered
with collecting, and avoided cels for a little while..
In order to convince myself that I
had not, in fact, wasted tons of money on things that meant
nothing, I decided to browse
around to see if I could find anything similar to the ones I'd
lost.. Instead, I found this.
Upon seeing this cel, my heart skipped a beat -- I wanted it.
A cel which approaches
the 'dream cel' status, and at just the right time..
I was a bit pessimistic at the time,
and convinced myself that it'd be sold out...but tried anyway.
And happily, it is mine. Now on to Justin himself, because he deserves better than just a sob story. Yes, I'm another kid who had a massive crush on a rodent in my youth. What can I say? He's the perfect man. (Rodent-ness aside.) He's a glowing exception among the list of fictional males I adore. Because he's not even close to evil -- he's downright good. Justin was almost faultless; he is kind, warm, caring, both gentle and fiercely heroic, mature yet playful, and utterly charming. A true ladies' rat. Rats are wonderful little creatures, and it's always nice to see them painted in such a positive light. (No pun intended..) |

A cel from the Conan the Adventurer cartoon. I am guessing
that's Conan himself, getting beaten at the bottom of the screen.
It looks like him, anyway, but not exactly his normal outfit. It's
a little hard to say with a show like this, since a lot of people
looked pretty similar, to be honest. It's been many years since I watched this show, but I really liked it at the time. Mostly, I was fond of the silly little snake fellow on the right, the naga, Dregs. He was one of those shifty, ambitious, but completely incompetent villains who makes a show more fun. I like that type. The fellow on the left was really the main villain, Wrath Amon. The serious, evil, boring type. I never really liked him. He was just standard, cookie-cutter cartoon villain fare. Granted, I guess the fumbling villain-sidekick is pretty old hat, too. It's just more endearing. |

I think this one came with the above. A nice, oversized cel that came
with several sketches of the...dragon-things pulling the chariot. That's Wrath-Amon on the side, again. Being boring. Maybe it's that he reminds me too much of Serpentor. Maybe that's why I don't like him. This one came with the above cel, if I recall correctly. I don't really think I'd have gone out of my way, anyway. Anyway, I liked this show. I don't think I'd go back and watch it again, though, because I'm pretty sure it wasn't very good. I know I bought several more cels of Dregs, but I couldn't find them. Hopefully they'll make it up here before too long. |

Dinosaucers! This is another show which probably wasn't all that good. If
I saw it now, I'd probably wonder what I ever saw in it. That said, I used
to rush home to see this show in the afternoon. I loved it. Loved it. I
did not miss an episode, even if it was a rerun. Loved it. Terrible Dactyl was totally my favourite character. He had a faux British accent and he wore a scarf and ridiculous pilot's goggles. He was awesome. I'm pretty sure these cels are mismatched, probably not even from the same episode, let alone the same scene. Tricero's cel has been trimmed small and stapled to the Terrible Dactyl layer, and both to the sketch paper in back. I was rather sad to see the poor treatment these cels got, but I didn't want to risk damaging them by taking the staples out, so I ended up displaying them together. |

See the above cel for the whole trimmed cel, mismatching, stapled-together
thing. Sadface. This show was on my wish list for half a good six years before I even saw any cels, much less any for sale, so I wasn't about to pass these up, even with the problematic condition. It's just a shame they were treated so poorly in the past. I was a bit peeved that the seller didn't mention it in the auction, but not so peeved I wouldn't keep them. Don't care too much about Bronto Thunder. Loved the head-on shot of Terrible Dactyl, though. |
