I really like the effect of the bright lights, and the shadows
falling across Clary's face.
It's been a while since I've watched
that ep. and I don't remember exactly, but I think this is when
Clary first whips out a big spell to attack Drum. The first of many,
many times they think they kill ol' Drum. They should've
tried Borax.

Looking a bit less menacing than later in the episode, here's
a character no VoH gallery would be complete without! (Not that
my gallery's anywhere close to complete, anyway..)
What, you were expecting more description? Well, for once, I'm
trying to avoid spoiling too much. *Thbbppt!* =P

It took me a while, but I finally found an affordable Sizer cel
that I really like. Sizer wasn't one of my favourites from
VoH early on--especially not in the TV series, where she seemed sadly
underdeveloped as a character. As such, I wasn't sure I'd get a cel
of her, but completeness won out, and I really love how you can see
her wings and a bit of the scythe. Now that I've gotten much farther in
the manga, I've really taken a liking to Sizer, and so I'm glad I've got
cels of her (even though the TV version is quite dissimilar to the manga
version.)
Her armour's also looking very
well drawn in this shot, and the motion in her hair is excellent.
Overall, I'm more pleased with this one than I thought I'd ever
be with a TV Sizer cel. ^-^

How could there be a Sizer without an Ocarina following immediately
behind?
While her taste in clothing is sorely lacking, I admire
Ocarina's loyalty and dedication. That, and the fact that she's
a touch psychotic in the TV series. When you throw in blue hair
and wings, it combines to form a package I have to love.
I was thrilled to pick this one up at a decent price, considering
how darned hard it is to find nice cels of her. While I've got a
companion piece in the Human Oboe, I just wish I could
find good shots of the two as birds...

And the second in this little set, here's human-form Oboe from the TV series.
I suppose the manga version is more appropriate, but this version
has a monocle! Automatic bonus points! He's also got some pretty golden wings,
a silly little mustache, and the kind of hair I want to ruffle.
Overall, pretty
cool looking, even if it just doesn't feel like Oboe. Of course, nothing feels
like Oboe if it isn't a silly little bird with big eyes and a deep, booming voice.

This is hardly your typical "perfect" shot, but I just love it to
pieces. ^_^ There's something about the composition, and again the
movement in the cel which really appeals to me. I also love his
expression: peeking back from the corner of his eye with a faint
smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.. It just oozes cool. ^-^
Again, most shots of Lute/Bass don't really appeal to me. I guess
I just don't like his face that much. ^_^;; *hides from the rabid
Lute fans*
Err..Somehow, this angle just makes it better for me.

And another of the Lute/Bass team, immediately after they became
said team. I really loved the whole flashback scene, and Bass earned
a special place in my heart because of it. How could I not admire
a guy who's got the tenacity to cut off his own head in order to
escape petrification? Now that takes guts!

'Bout time I got a shot of Trom that wasn't just his foot.) It's a very
cute image of him peeking out of the carriage; I love the way it sets up its own
frame. ^-^ I just love the detail in the eyes (eyes in VoH are always so nice)
and the expression's adorable. I only regret that it's not a couple frames later,
when he sticks his tongue out and looks so silly.
