W.M.T: Links
English sites about WMT:
Ben Ettinger's site: It's the reference for all the WMT fans. It contains an extensive listing of the staff and voice actors of each of them, among with a great deal of info on the other novel adaptations in animation. Ben also created an impressive list of links. You can also visit
the old version of his site, which is more extensively commented, and is also a sort of "historical document": Ben indeed made a bulletin board telling the end of the WMT live.
A Little Princess Sara: The *beautiful* web page of Taro Rehrl about A Little Princess Sara. It is very well written and designed, and contains very subtle analysis of the series: This page is the reference for all the Sara's fans, but has also been written to introduce this anime to people who have never seen it. A highly recommended visit!
WMT sounds: Mike has gathered an impressive amont of sound files of songs coming from various WMT series. Their lyrics are of course also available on his site! You'll find Japanese versions, but also German, French, Italian and English ones. No doubt your hard disks will soon be full with them! ^_^
- WMT World: A nice German site (the English version is underr construction), mainly dedicates to the older WMT. For each of them, you'll find a summary, technical information and multimedia files.
- Nippon Animation's Filmography: another page maintained by Ben Ettinger. You'll find there the list of almost all the anime ever produced by Nippon Animation. There are not as many comments as in his previous one, but the page is still very interesting.
- Goeff Cowie's site: this site is not only dedicated to the WMT. Goeff is a British anime fans, and reviews all the series he has seen on the satellite (including the meisaku). Some of them are rather extensively commented! There is also an extra page about the anime broadcasts on the satellite in Europe.
- Jim So's page: a nice site made by a fan from Hong-Kong, with the list of the WMT shown there, pictures and so on.
- Fuji licensing TV: The official site of the TV network that broadcasted the WMT for more than 20 years (pictures can be found there).
- Natsukawas
Anime im deutschen Fernsehen Page: well, this one is not in English, but in German. It's Maria's site, with presentations of Little Princess Sara, Little Women, and Little Men (attention, there are spoliers). Some other information is available there (voice actors of some series including WMT...)
Japanese sites about the WMT:
- Nippon Animation's official page: the site contains hot news of the studio (e.g. video releases), information about its history (with individual pages dedicated to the latest WMTs).
- Masao Tamenishi's site: with the lists of all the Japanese episodes of the WMT, information about the new adaptations for the big screen...
- Ach So!: this site has extra-pages about almost all the WMT series, with their presentation, the listing of the eps, and an impressive collection of links around the world. An English version of the site is now on construction.
- A petition online for the rerun of the WMT: Many fans have protested after the announcement of the WMT end, and have tried to put pressure on Nippon Animation and Fuji TV. This petition is an example. The page is still only in Japanese, but an English translation should be soon available.
- Hajime Iwao's site contains a compreensive liting of all the CD, LD, videos and books related to the WMT, amo,g with a good list of links! An indispensable site for all the Meisaku fans. An English version is also under construction.
Other interesting sites:
- Project Gutenberg: Shall I really introduce this organisation that puts many books came on the public domain online?
- Anime im deutschen Fernsehen: A German page maintained by Taro Rehrl, with the list of all the anime shown in Germany, a guide of the series now on the air there and various information about anime on German TV (I found there most of mine about the German versions of the WMT).
- Progetto Prometeo: A big Italian site with many illustrations (vinyl discs covers) and a great deal of information on the animes broadcasted in Italy (voice actor lists...).
