Chapter Seven: A Brother/Sister Relationship  

Anubis shook his head. He had been trying to meditate in peace and quiet, he just so happened to be in the wrong place (I mean, a house with 15 people and 7 strange pets isn’t exactly what’d you call quiet, is it?).  

Anyway, he had fallen on the floor for the 5th time, that’s right folks; he was hovering peacefully when all chaos erupted. For one, the plants reacted to Kyra’s aura and acted well, weird. And a fight over who gets to watch TV broke out, in which Cye emerged the victor. Other than that, not much had happened.  

Unless you counted Rowan’s armor orb skyrocketing faster than a pinball and hitting Sage on the forehead. No, not much had happened. Little did Anubis know that evil was lying in wait for someone he cared for as much as family… ‘But still, she is young, and wise beyond her years. Like mother.’  

He felt a tear slip down. At least he remembered his mother from head to toe, but his sister’s case… ‘She only has a vague picture of Mother and Father, because she lost half her memory, and she was so young when it happened.’  

He recalled sadly.  ‘And that’s all she thinks about. The family she never knew, with my exception.’ For Anubis was her blood brother, not that Kyra didn’t know. In fact, she knew perfectly well that Anubis was her older brother. She just didn’t tell people about it.  

Then his mind lit up. The orbs. Didn’t Kyra mention something about Rowan’s orb getting stuck to her ring? He got up and searched through her things. He finally found the thing and looked at it. He got a crazy idea that probably worked, but that’s the next chapter. He called The Warlords, 4 of the Ronins, and Mia. When they got there, he said; “Okay, here’s what we’re gonna do.”
