Untitled Document Chapter Fifty-Five: A Turn for The Worse

While the Ronins feasted and made merry, a dark shape watched intently in the
pool. His eyes were furrowed in concentration, never leaving the water. He
looked up, and signaled to someone.

He made hand signals at the water and the picture rippled into darkness. “O
Holy One, the Ronins have dropped their guard. When do we strike?” “Not now,
soldier. That is for Lord Julien to decide. However, he will be pleased to hear
this.” A snaky sort of voice replied as he headed off to Julien’s chambers.

Lord Badamon entered the half-dark room. “Sire, the Ronins have laid their guard
down. Methinks it will do you good if we strike now!”

Julien turned to him, and said. “We will strike, but not how they expect us to
strike. Prepare the Nether Spirits and rally the troops, Badamon. We’ve got work
to do”

Chapter Fifty-Six: Trapped!

The Ronins got off the Suzuki Jeep and headed to class. As they headed over to
Chem, none of them thought that something wrong was going to happen. How wrong
they were…Julien positioned his forces around the whole school. That way they
would besiege them quite easily.

Using the art of nothingness, they were enveloped in the dark magic, waiting for
the hour to strike. Everything went fine until Lunch. 11 teenagers made their
way through the crowd. They all sat down, and started to eat.

Dais and Kento were having an eating contest while Anubis and Sage, out of sheer
boredom, tried unsuccessfully to play both chess and poker at the same time. Ryo
was talking to Cale and Cye, while Rowan had his nose in Hound of The
Baskervilles. Kyra and Andrea were talking about random subjects all at once.

Sekhmet was about to take a bite of sushi when his ears pricked. ‘The
atmosphere…it’s too normal.’ He thought. He told about what he felt. “Its like
something bad’s gonna happen.” Said Cale, shivering. Soon enough, the sky turned
poison green.

“We have to get them out of here.” Said Cye. “No use. We’re cornered on all
sides.” Said Andrea. “What? But they mean to put a siege on us if we’re
trapped!” “Shit. We’ve got no other solution but to fight back.”

“I know, Ryo. And this would mean revealing ourselves, which puts us in a bad
position. Julien made a good move.” Replied Sage. “Wait I got a plan!” Shouted
Kyra. They all crowded around her. “Okay, here’s the plan…”

Chapter Fifty-Seven: I Failed You

This feeling that made him feel that they were surrounded and cut off at all
sides. He stared at Dais, who looked like he had been caught in one of his own
traps, but much more lethal. Kyra positioned herself in the middle and counted
the seconds. 3…2…1…

The afternoon bell rang, signaling the siege. Kyra drew her Gladius forth, and
yelled; “Eulaliaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Which everyone heard and got
confused and of course were petrified when they saw the youja.

“What’s going on?!” yelled Jason Amalia. Rowan turned to his overly panicked
friend. “Jase look, there’s no time to explain. Get the rest of the students and
go to the basement on the 3rd B level. Make sure you don’t get separated!” He
said, and turned to go outside.

Kyra threw herself at the wave of soldiers, hacking this way and that with her
daggers. Anubis was at the northeast section with his sickle. Soon enough, the
north sections were covered. All that was left was downstairs, the cafeteria,
the gym, and east, south, and west sections of the school.

Dais had this ominous feeling that it was a trap. It was too easy. The soldiers
weren’t putting much of a fight. “What the…” He yelped, flipping sideways as a
small object hurled towards him. Recovered, on closer inspection he saw a metal
star. “Shit…they’ve got poison stars. No wait, sleeping drug.”

He got up and saw a wave of youja, Dais screamed like a banshee as he charged
towards them. Anubis tripped the youja and killed him. His hair whipped out like
a red banner as he fought. “Quake With Fear!” He shouted the words of his
surekill, when he saw a blue moon.

‘Uh-oh. Fenrir…Kyra summoned Fenrir. What’s happening? Why did she summon him?’
Rowan and Sage fought heavily side by side, lashing out attacks. Sage was
outraged. The attack had separated all of them, in different parts of the
school. “Sage, we’re blocked on both sides!” Shouted Rowan.

They were fighting in a one-way hall where you could go north or south only.
This put them in a bad position as they were blocked both ways. “Rowan,
concentrate as much energy as you can in your surekill, okay?” “Right.”

They concentrated on their elements as hard was thought possible and cried out
the words. “Arrowshock Wave!” “Thunderbolt Cut!” A golden beam shot out from
Rowan’s bow to the right, ramming all the soldiers against the walls, killing
them instantly.

A brilliant flash of white light shot out of Sage’s no-datchi, disintegrating
the soldiers at the left. All that remained was chunks of melted armor and
weapons. They stood there silently, tensed for attack. When they heard the
telltale clack of Cye, Sekhmet, and Ryo’s sub armor, they relaxed.

“Seen the others?” “Other than Sekhmet and Ryo, no.” “Wait, don’t move guys.”
“Ro’, you ok?” “Yea, but someone’s on the roof!” Sure enough, someone was on the
roof, but it only turned out to be Anubis and Cale, who literally ‘crashed’ the
scene below by jumping down the glass roof. “You’ll have to pay for that.”

Said Cye in a tone full of irony. “Though not now.” He finished when they got
up. “We have to go to the Central Wing.” “You nuts? The place is condemned!”
“Right now, that doesn’t apply, Rowan. That’s where Kyra is. And summoning
eidolons at full power.”

He replied, running. The others shook their heads, indicating they didn’t know
what an eidolon was. On the way, they ran into Dais, Kento, and Andrea. They all
ran at full speed to the Central Wing, the youja hot on their trail.

They got there in time to see Kyra summon Shiva. However, someone took the
chance to throw a star at her and it caught her at the throat. She fell,
affected by the drug. Rowan ran to her, but was engulfed by billows of smoke. He
struggled to rise as the world around him was slowly surrounded by darkness.

The last thing he remembered was closing his hand on Kyra’s dagger and softly
crying out; “I failed you Luthien. I’m not worthy of your love.” And he passed
out, leaving the world of the living, the conscious, and entering a world of
darkness, dreams, and restless slumber.
