Kyra looked her wardrobe. She didn’t know what to wear. She looked at
a white
blouse and black skirt before asking her brother for advice. Anubis was looking
at several outfits when she intruded his mind.
He listened to her for a minute, and asked; ‘Why don’t you wear
those duds you
picked in Centenial III?’
‘How about not?’ She retorted. ‘I know, why don’t you
wear something that you
like and is elegant at the same time? Say, that faerie dress thingy…?’
‘Thanks
bro, you’re the best.’ She replied and left.
Soon everyone was ready. Kyra was the last one to come down, and when she did,
all the guys blinked. She wore a white semi-tight long spaghetti-strap gown.
Her hair was plaited in the objective that only her bangs hung loose. Anubis
offered his arm and she took it, and they walked to the Jeep.
When they arrived at the Gardens, Kyra could not help but look in awe at the
scenery. ‘It’s so beautiful.’ She thought.
When the others left with their lovers in groups of two, only Rowan and Kyra
were left. He decided to make his move. He approached her while she was looking
at the tree branches when he stole her pin.
Kyra ran after him. He led her on a merry chase, which led them to a lake.
She
finally got her pin back, but then Rowan started to splash her with water.
“Stop it!” “Why? I’m only having a little fun.”
That wasn’t the only thing as he
took her light jacket off and dragged her into the lake, the shallow part,
anyway. “So you having fun yet?” “Let me go!” “Kyra,
why do you run?”
For once, Kyra was at loss for words. She looked into his midnight blue eyes
and
replied slowly, “Its just that…that…” She never finished,
as Rowan stopped her
from finishing and pulled her into a kiss.
His tongue just begging to invade hers, she opened her mouth. Her arm snaked
its
way up to his neck and pulled him closer.
They stayed like that for a while until Kyra pulled herself out. She took his
hand and dragged him towards the nearest cherry tree, where they both sat and
looked at the stars in each other’s arms.
Way back in the forest edge, you could see 8 smiles that clearly said their
job
was done.
