As the gang left Bree and continued to Weathertop, along the way they met the
last 2 fellowship members; Gimli the Dwarf and Boromir of Gondor. They left
Weathertop and continued to the Ford of Bruinen, which was the body of water
closest to Rivendell.
No perils met them, as the threat of The One Ring was over. They managed to
reach Rivendell well before dark, and were invited in graciously.
Kyra scrubbed herself clean with elven soap, scented like sweet-smelling herbs,
spices, or flowers. She gave her head a decent wash, rinsed and stepped out
of
the bathroom. She went over to the wardrobe, and opened the doors.
Several beautiful gowns and dresses were there. Looking at several, she finally
chose a beautiful gown, which was a strapless silver gown. Looking through her
jewelry, she found two silver earrings that Legolas had given her.
The shapes were tiny stars. She wore a silver chain, which had a silver dragon.
She brushed her hair, and added a silver mithril barrette in the middle section
of her hair. She smiled and left the room
Chapter Thirty-Five: Gold Arrow
Rowan waited impatiently for Kyra. But he gave up when Anubis told him that
she
was probably preparing for an entrance. The 9 young men waited patiently as
their comrades got ready for the feast.
Soon 9 members of the Fellowship made their way across to the group. Legolas
was
wearing a green silvery tunic that seemed to glimmer like The Gates of Moria.
The hobbits were wearing what seemed to be armor of the Periannath, possibly
the
elvish name given to hobbits.
At last the girls came in. They were all wearing glamorous outfits but Kyra
was
the one who really caught Rowan’s eye.
Without knowing it he started singing her elven namesake, Luthien Tinuviel:
“Tinuviel, Tinuviel! Fair as the eaves of Lorien, gentle as the Nimrodel,
mightier than Caradhras, and beautiful as River-woman’s daughter!”
Rowan was shocked to hear this coming from his mouth. But Kyra pressed her
finger gently to his lips and drew it back. “Its not the first time someone’s
called me that, Rowan.”
“But, K-Kyra, you really look beautiful tonight. I swear.” “You’re
not the
first, Rowan.” Her lips broke into a smile. Rowan thought that it made
her more
beautiful than she ever was. He took her arm and pulled her close.
“My Girl.” He whispered in her ear. She purred back, “My
Man.” While they
danced to the music, Anubis watched them while dancing with Mia.
Kyra looked up at Rowan. He looked down. She smiled and dragged him away from
the crowd into the dark gardens. They went to the place where Aragorn and Arwen
always met alone.
They climbed up a tree and sat on a sturdy branch. “Why are we here?”
“To do
evil things.” She replied, her index finger circling his chest.
He started nibbling her ear, and working down to the shoulder. She cried out
in
ecstasy when he nibbled her shoulder. However, They weren’t the only ones
in the
garden.
A pair of golden/brown watched hungrily as they make out. It notched the arrow
on the bow. It pulled the bowstring back and let go.
Kyra was kissing Rowan when she felt the pain. It was greater than the last
time, and her world was reduced to darkness as she fell.
Rowan jumped and caught her. When the others got there, they tried to help
him
out. Things turned worse as Gandalf pulled a golden shaft from her arm. Everyone
looked at him stunned.
