Protector of Courage! Chapter 3
Emily'2000'

" Where's the others?" Ryo asked Rowen as he came down
the stairs. The only ones Ryo saw around was White Blaze, Blazer, Tracker,
Rowen, and Sage." Emily went
to town early and Kento dragged Cye to town to prove
that Emily has a boyfriend," Sage answered from the couch." But you all saw me ask
her about it right in front of him," Ryo said." He's going to try and prove
it one way or another, Ryo," Blazer told him from the floor. He had told both
Blazer and Tracker about what
Kento had seen." Hope he doesn't go getting himself in
trouble," replied Tracker from beside Blazer. Meanwhile in town Kento was
tracking Emily with Cye.
" I can't beleive I let you talk me into doing this," 
Cye complained." I got to have one of you see him," he
said." Well why didn't you bring Ryo? At least she wouldn't get as mad as she
will at him if she catchs us both. And how do you know she's come here do see
the so-called-boy you saw hugging her?" Cye asked him.
" That's because," Kento said pointing ahead of them.
Cye looked straight ahead and saw Emily walking with
a blonde headed, blue eyed same age as Ryo and her,
boy." I don't beleive it," he answered still looking at the couple until they
rounded the corner." Now do
you beleive me, buddy?" Kento askd him." We have to go
tell the others now," Cye said ignoring Kento's question and grabbing his hand.
As they ran off Emily
was introducing the boy to Mr. Johnson." This is my
friend, Jake," she told him." Nice to meet you, Jake," 
Mr. Johnson told him as he shaked Jake's hand." Thank
you, Mr. Johnson," Jake said." Well we have to be going
," Jake said as he let go of the man's hand." Then I'll
catch you later, kids," he said as they left." I wonder
if her brother, Ryo knows about the kid," Mrs. Johnson
said coming out of the back room." Probably not," 
replied Mr. Johnson. Just about the time the sun began to set Cye and Kento
arrived at the house." Ryo,
Kento was telling the truth. Emily does have a boyfriend," Cye said as soon as he
entered through the
door." I'll ask about it when she gets home," Ryo said
under his breath wondering why his sister had lied.
At the moment Emily was walking with Jake holding her
hand." Do you think Ryo will remember me?" Jake asked
her." He probably won't, Jake," she told him. They walked in silence not noticing
a dynasty bird in the trees." Looks like the little one has a soul mate," 
the bird said silently making sure Emily wouldn't notice him. Then he saw
Emily's kanji appear." Now the
boy is going to learn the truth," the bird said with a
little laugh. But Jake didn't do anything except grab her bandana and tell
her" Your kanji can't help you get this,"  as she attempted to get back her
bandana." I better inform the warlords right away," 
the bird said as he flew to a dynasty gate and teleported into the netherrealm.
In the Netherrealm
the warlords were waiting for their bird to get back.
" How much you want to bet that bird got caught?" Kale
asked." Don't even think about betting on me," the bird
said as he came through the open window." It's about
time, D.K.," Dais said." Not my fault it's hard to find that little midget," D.K.
explained." But I found
out something interesting that her brother, Ryo might
know about yet," D.K. added." Say it," Kale commanded
the bird." I saw her with a boy her age holding her hand and when her kanji
appeared they just started to play like it was nothing so it's possible he knows
about the armors and everything else," he told the two warriors." We better go
tell Tulfa and the others,
" Dais said as they teleported to go tell Tulfa of the surprising news. Where the
sun was setting over the horizen Emily and Jake were sitting on the grass
watching it." It's not long to Tulfa finds out about you and starts to
worry," Emily said breaking the silence." Then we'll fight him together," Jake told
her. She nodded. She had never been so attached to a
boy before except her brother." If you don't mind me
asking but how did you get the scar on your cheek?" 
Jake asked her." Darkness," replied Emily. Jake understood what she meant. She got
up and said she had to go as she walked away. But before she could get far she
was hit backwards to in front of Jake.
He held her up as she looked at what had happened. On
her arm was a green kind of blood mixing with her red
blood." Venom," she said as she looked up. Sure enough
she was right. Because in front of them was Sekhmet.
" Glad to see you didn't forget us, Emily," Kale said coming out of the darkness.
All the warlords appeared
around them. The two were surronded." Of all the low things to do," she said under
her breath as Jake helped her to her feet. Shw turned her head to Jake.
" Were going to need help so call Tracker and Blazer," 
she told him." But what will you do?" he asked her." Try
and keep them away from you," she said as she began the fight. The warlords
didn't bother attacking Jake they just knew that if they could slow her down
they would be able to defeat her. Even if Sekhmet's venom
didn't work as fast as it did on mortals and the ronins. Jake got down on his
knees and put his hands to the sides of his head.<Blazer! Tracker! We need help!
Warlords attacking us! Located where you can see the stars rise!>Jake yelled in
thought speak. The
two animals heard his voice and leaped up from the floor." What's the
matter?" Rowen asked them." Trouble," 
replied Tracker listening to the rest of the message.
" Emily," Blazer said also listening." Follow us!" Blazer
yelled as they ran into the forest. The ronins armored up and the ronins and
White Blaze followed the two. Emily hit the ground hard. Jake reached her and
pulled her up into a sitting position." Are you okay, Em?" he asked her. But she
couldn't speak for she was in too much pain." If that's all you got then we
wasted our visit here," Anubis said. Jake's anger started building up inside of
him and a power also
started growing inside of him." HOWLING BLASTER!"  A blue stream of flames landed
in front of them. Causing them to back away from the flames. Blazer and
Tracker landed in front of the two and the ronins got in front of them." Leave
Emily alone, warlords," 
Ryo told them. Before Kale could tell them that they were too late D.K. appeared
in front of him." Tulfa wants you back, now!" D.K. told him." So I see your back
again, D.K.," Tracker said in a mad expression.
" After your bretrail what would you expect?" D.K. asked him." A homing pidgeon is
better than you," the
wolf told him." We'll take this up later," D.K. said
angerily as he teleported away with the warlords. The
ronins turned around but Emily, Jake, and Blazer were
gone." Emily," Ryo said in a worried voice. In th woods
Jake was carring Emily in his hands as he rode Blazer
." If it weren't for you, Blazer my secret might have been revealed," Jake said." I
knew Emily would not want
that till later," Blazer told him as he stopped at a
cabin deep in the woods." I'll keep her here until she's well again," Jake told
the tiger as he layed Emily on a spare bed in his room." You get better now,
Emily," Jake told her as he layed down on his bed and
went to sleep with Blazer at his side.
