Big changes for website

Welcome to the very first newsletter issue for RW: A light within the darkness.

The purpose?

The website is getting a makeover, the newsletter is a means of telling you about it, and letting you know of updates. Speaking of updates here is what you can expect to occur on the site in the next few weeks.

ú         Fan fiction section will be updated.

ú         All old unfinished or incomplete fan fictions will be deleted. (see “who will be affected” below for more details)

ú         The site will start accepting other anime related fan fiction, but only if it follows the same content rules that are in place.

ú         The site had been thought to be dead for over a year now… it’s been sleeping and it’s time to wake up.

While the site thrived during the height of interest in Ronin warriors, the site and the series popularity have since fallen. In order to keep up interest, the site has opened to other anime titles. Accepting anime related fan fiction is the first step in that process.

As time progresses, more changes will occur. This does not mean that the site will cease to be about Ronin Warriors, or even that it won’t be up kept. Ronin warriors will remain the basis of the site.

Any fan fictions that were not updated in the past year, or are not complete, will be deleted. Please remember they aren’t deleted because of quality, but because of quantity. Removing old fan fictions allows room for new ones.

Why 1 year, or 6 months? Under the current guidelines six months is the typical amount of time given before a fan fiction is listed as abandoned. However, once abandoned the fan fiction is deleted with in the next 6 months.

In the past, the same has been stated yet no action or little action was taken. This time your fan fiction will be deleted if it falls into the above category.

Currently by looking at the fan fiction listing you will see a bomb image next to it. Those fan fictions will be deleted. If you are the owner, send me an e-mail and it will be spared.

Once all the old fan fictions are deleted. The current fan fictions must also follow by the same rules. Any not updated in over 6 months old will be moved to a different folder, and then eventually deleted.

Which fanfictions will self destruct?

The following are all the fan fictions scheduled for deletion in two weeks, this is the last time you will be able to access these works on the site (least until or if they are re-submitted.) e-mail me to be placed on the safe list, or you can e-mail me if you want your fanfics deleted.

If your fan fiction is deleted, and you have additional chapters that were not sent in on time, you may re-submit the entire fanfiction.

Your fan fictions deletion has nothing to do with their quality, interest, or you as the author. It also has nothing to do with whether you can or cannot continue to send in your stories. See below.

What should I do?

Please visit the site and double-check your fan fictions. If you have updates or plan to send in an update within the next 2 weeks, please e-mail me which stories are still active, your alias and current e-mail. queendarcy@hotmail.com.

Be sure to check the version, if revisions have since occurred, send them to me. Also if your e-mail ever changes let me know, as your fan fictions will be deleted if your e-mail bounces for more than 3 weeks, or the account has closed.

This newsletter will go out once a week only after updates have been made to the website. If no updates occur, then no newsletter. Content will range from new fanfictions, and old ones removed. Sections added to the site, or general content updated. Future issues will be short and sweet.

Remember newsletter will only go out one a week at the most, and only when the site is updated. There will be no advertisements; your address will not be distributed.
