Alternative Script of The Final Moment Scene
Episode #40 : "The Crumbling Tower of Evil"
SETTING: The plaza in front of the Golden Palace.
From the top of the crumbled tower, the flag of Boazan Empire is slowly falling to the ground.
This is a scene which likely marks the end of Boazan Empire.
The volted-out Volt Machines have landed. The slaves are cheering and gathering around Kenichi and the Voltes Team.
Kenichi's eyes suddenly see something. On nearby rubbles, the figure of Kazarin is rolling down.
Kenichi runs to approach the rubbles. Kenichi's figure is not visible from the eyes of Kentarou and the others.
KENICHI
.... (feel pity) Kazarin!!
At that time, WHOOSH! Just before Kenichi's eyes, Heinell's sword appears. From the nearby rubbles, Heinell with torn clothes is standing with each of his hands grasping a sword.
HEINELL
Die! Kenichi!
Heinell slashes his sword at Kenichi. SAA! Kenichi dodges the sword.
KENICHI
Stop! Heinell, the fight is already over!
HEINELL
It's not yet over! Kenichi, hornless insects ... must not rule Planet Boazan! You all are insects!
KENICHI
(snap at Heinell) Insects? Is that the heart of an aristocrat?!!
HEINELL
Hornless insects that is! ... whether you insects win or lose, it will be determined by this sword!
WHOOSH! Heinell throws the sword he holds in his left hand to Kenichi.
TAP! Kenichi catches the sword! He glares at Heinell.
KENICHI
I will smash up your thought, let's fight!
CLANG! Both swords meets. Both men are glaring to each other!
CLANG! CLANG! The sound of both sword striking each other can be heard in the Plaza.
At this circumstances, all are dumbfounded.
SLASH! Both are separated. Heinell's sword cuts Kenichi's leg!
KENICHI
TAAA!
Kenichi while turning around, leaps to the air. Heinell charges while raising his sword.
Both are now fighting on the stairs of the Golden Palace.
KENTAROU
Stop! Kenichi!
At that instant, Heinell's sword cuts Kenichi. All of the people spontaneously hold their breath.
Thrust! Thrust! Heinell attacks! Kenichi jumps on the stair railing, avoiding Heinell's sword.
The duel now gradually moves towards the entrance door of the Golden Palace.
Both of them are breathing wildly at the door. PANT! PANT!
Heinell sets up to raise his sword! Kenichi also charges raising his sword!!
Both slash diagonally from the shoulder at the same time.
Heinell's left shoulder is cut! Kenichi's left shoulder is also cut! Blood is gushing out!!
On both shoulders are an identical crest visible!!
It is the crest of La Gour's family!
KENICHI
.... ?!
HEINELL
.... ?!
Kentarou's eyes, in a moment, show astonishment.
KENTAROU
Heinell! You ... you are ... !!!
Kentarou suddenly realizes something!
KENTAROU
Stop! Stop! Stop, Heinell ... Kenichi, you two are brothers!
Heinell is shocked! Kenichi is shocked!
Daijirou and Hiyoshi are also stupefied!
Kentarou runs up the stairs ... then he falls down.
KENTAROU
The crest on your shoulders is the crest of La Gour's family! Heinell, you were born from the marriage between me and Rosalia ... you are my son ... Kenichi's elder brother ... stop, stop ... please stop!
An instant, the shocked Heinell wipes the crest with his hand.
HEINELL
La Gour! The traitor of Boazan!
Heinell, facing Kentarou, rushes with his eyes wide open, firmly towards Kentarou, who stands motionless!
KENICHI
(spontaneously shout) Watch out! Father!
TAP! TAP! Kenichi runs and stands in front of Kentarou, covering him from Heinell's sword.
CLANG! Both swords create sparks. Kenichi's eyes and Heinell's are entwined.
The blades reflect Zanbajir coming out carrying a white flag.
ZANBAJIR
Help me! Please spare my life!
Everyone shocks. The untidy Zanbajir falls prostrate, both hands on the ground.
ZANBAJIR
I attacked the Earth, it was all Heinell's plan. He persuaded me to do it, I just blindly follow him ... so clearly, Heinell is the guilty one!
Hearing Zanbajir's words, tears now flow down Heinell's face.
HEINELL
Are these, the words of an emperor? The words of the Emperor of Boazan?
Heinell, pushing Kenichi aside, runs towards Zanbajir with his sword set up.
ZANBAJIR
Help me!
Zanbajir draws out his sword. He looks confused as he turns around to avoid Heinell's sword. Heinell drives Zanbajir to a wall and corners him.
HEINELL
(angry) All this time, I was fighting for the sake of this insect's honor? Die!
Heinell slashes at Zanbajir diagonally from the shoulder down!
Zanbajir's sword however pierces the side of Heinell's abdomen!
Heinell slashes and casts aside Zanbajir, at the same time he slowly collapses.
KENICHI
.... (become speechless) Brother!!
Spontaneously Kenichi runs up to Heinell with his hands reach out to him.
Heinell wiped Kenichi's hands.
HEINELL
... (bitterly) ... Kenichi ... if you ... have horns ... I would have called you ... my younger brother ...
Kentarou, Daijirou, and Hiyoshi rush over.
HIYOSHI
Elder brother!
DAIJIROU
Elder brother!
HEINELL
... Forgive me, forgive me ... forgive me ...!
KENTAROU
Heinell!
Kentarou hugs Heinell tightly.
HEINELL
(gasping) I will ... sleep peacefully beside mother ...
KENTAROU
(tearful) ... Heinell!
HEINELL
Fa ... fa ... ther ...
That voice is a weak voice, it's hard to catch the word.
Heinell's hands then fall to he ground.
A gust of wind blows off the Boazan Empire's flag. It's like a signal: RUMBLE! RUMBLE! The Golden Palace starts to crumble down ...
The end of Boazan Empire finally comes ...
Kenichi, Daijirou, Hiyoshi, Ippei, and Megumi put the Boazan flag on Heinell's body. Then the chime of peace is resounded.
SETTING: In front of the memorial epitaph to commemorate those who died in battle.
Flowers are given to Kenichi and the team. The chime of peace is resounded.
The altar of the memorial epitaph is decorated with photographs of Mitsuyo, Hamaguchi, Oka, and Dange. All of the photographs are black framed as in mourning ceremony.
Kenichi and the team quietly stare at those photographs, remembering the long, long fight they have been through.
From Mitsuyo's photograph, the figure of Mitsuyo rises.
MITSUYO
Kenichi, Daijirou, Hiyoshi ...
From Hamaguchi's photograph, the figure of Hamaguchi rises.
HAMAGUCHI
Voltes Team, you all have fought well!
From Oka's photograph, the figure of Oka rises.
OKA
Never give up, Megumi!
From Dange's photograph, the figure of Dange rises.
DANGE
On behalf of Planet Boazan, I'd like to express my gratitude from my heart to all of you.
Kenichi, Daijirou, Hiyoshi, and Ippei salute the photographs. Tears roll down on Megumi's cheeks ...
The baby in Nina's embrace lets out a smile, then a laughter.
